As someone who believes time is best spent interacting with actual humans, Leann wants to show you all the best time-saving grading hacks using technology so you can focus on what matters - authentic student learning and building relationships with your students. When a teacher has written or typed, “Always capitalize i” and “Where is your source?” 150 times, she (or he!) may be too tired to comment on the actual content of the paper. In this session, we’ll learn how to create and share Google Doc templates in Classroom, how to use Google Forms Quizzes, how to use the Permanent Clipboard add-on to facilitate commenting on Docs, and how to use the Doc Appender Add-On to grade student writing efficiently. Attendees of this session will follow along on their own devices. Laptops or Chromebooks are helpful, but not required. Attendees will also leave with access to step-by-step instructions for each tool.
