It is become increasingly more evident that to prepare our students to be college prepared and career ready, we must embrace the power of technology and learn how it can be used effectively in the classroom. In this session, come and explore the key skills necessary for success in our 21st Century, global society as well as the unique brain-based learning styles of 21st century students. Review some sample digital language and literacy activities and discuss how they can increase student engagement during lessons to increase learning success for all students. Be prepared to share how your school/district is currently utilizing technology and blended learning strategies while gaining ideas from what is shared by others. In a group brainstorm activity, explore the question: "What steps are needed to assist teachers in creating blended learning classrooms?" Leave this session with more information and a continued commitment to enhance instruction, increase student achievement and get your students excited about learning, all through the power of technology.
