Do you like to travel? Love to learn? Tired of sitting-down for PD? Want to use use real-world data to engage your students in authentic learning? Yes??? Then this session is for you!

Being landlocked in Arkansas, we may not think of accessing the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s abundant resources - but they are loaded with lessons and activities, ready to use, created by classroom teachers and professional development opportunities that get you out of your seat, and even off dry land! “Be a Teacher-at-Sea” will share with you about the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Teacher at Sea Program (for teachers of all ages/subjects), the GLOBE program, NOAA Data in the Classroom, NOAA Planet Stewards, School of Weather program, Citizen Science opportunities with CoCoRaHS, and much more! Specifically, I’ll talk about my experiences with the Teacher at Sea program and the plethora of lessons, activities, resources NOAA and their affiliates have to offer. This session is appropriate for teachers of all ages PK-12 and all content areas.
